Reconnecting - Q1 MC Team Days
Though it was a while back now, the MC had its first "team days" on the 11-12th October. Yes, we've been pretty busy since then! Our aim with the team days was to:
- Reconnect with our year plan - where we are trying to take AIESEC in Pakistan and how far we have come
- Spend some time together as a team, away from the office
So, over the weekend, we spent a good amount doing so!
The first day was spent reviewing Q1 (July - September 2008), involving:
- Review of our performance
- Identifying challenges we faced in the months, our successes and failures
- Looking at how we work as a team, and how to work better and more effectively
- Reviewing team image and expectations

We spent the second day looking forward:
- Setting revised goals for the next quarters
- Team feedback
- Identifying areas that each team member wants to improve their knowledge/experience
- Brainstorming (Experience Pakistan, expansions)

On top of that, we took turns cooking lunch and also had a nice dinner at Baan Thai in Zamzama!

The main output from the weekend was:
- Our performance as a team in Q1 was not anywhere near what it should have been
- We need to implement the team processes we suggest (regular process meetings, LC Development meetings, using the office walls)
- Need better performance tracking on the MC and LC levels

Hurray! Money!
And at the end of the month, like other employees in other companies, we also get our salaries. And like other employees in other companies, we get very khappy! (all words starting with h are going to be amended with the obligatory k from now on as that's how one of our MC team members pronounces it). And the timing couldn't be better; we're a week away from the LCong in Lahore and it's the weekend!Enough randomizing, look at the picture, it says it all!
