Local Congress for Lahore and Islamabad

We arrived in Lahore in the morning on 4^th of September... And in 3 hours were sitting in the Rec Room of LUMS, all together with our facilitator Hasan Sheikh and OCP Sonia.

From 5^th to 7^th we had a Local Congress for 2 LCs, Lahore and Islamabad, which took place in LUMS. We were happy to see the members of Lahore and Islamabad in one room :)

Despite the conference was held in Ramzan, members were focused, energetic and willing to learn!


Agenda was similar to the one at Karachi LCong, but every conference is special in its own way :-) Members got back to the atmosphere of AIESEC, gave their input on a national plan, gained knowledge about AIESEC virtual platform, made a time-line till NYDS, practiced recruitment and… had a chance to talk to people who’ve taken up different opportunities in AIESEC (conferences, CEED, internships!) and I know (top-secret!) that some members are now planning to go on internship and CEEDs this year :)

Now about some special people at LCong.

Luckily, we had 2 special delegates… Our intern Sisi from China who is working in Abacus Consulting (office in Lahore) and AIESEC Alumni, Bilal Rana who have recently come back from his internship in UK and is about to leave for Oxford!

Another special guest of LCong was Nida Rasheed, ex-MCP of AIESEC Pakistan. Nida came to deliver the session on team management for future team leaders. Session was informative and interactive at the same time, and members mentioned it was highly useful for their future work with new teams.

What is more, one of LCong delegates had his bye-bye evening during the conference as he is leaving for internship in DHL Germany! This is Ali Sohail, or CP :) we all enjoyed the evening, and the cake!


And of course our facilitator Hasan Sheikh, who joined us right after coming back from UK :) he seems quite happy, doesn't he?

All in all, LCong is over.

Its now time to move forward and implement all ideas that were generated at LCong.

We are looking forward for successful autumn in Lahore and Islamabad!
